Neuromodulation
Neuromodulation is the use of electrical stimulation by invasive and non-invasive medical devices (stimulators) to treat various acute and chronic clinical indications and numerous neurological conditions. The history of neuromodulation can be traced back to the dawn of modern medicine with the discovery and basic understanding of the central nervous system and its role in regulating many key biological functions.

Neuromodulation

Since then, the science and applications of neuromodulation have been developed extensively. Neuromodulation is one of the fastest growing fields of medical technology, and is currently being used to treat numerous medical conditions from pain to depression.

Neurowave Medical Technology (NMT) has developed a patented and proprietary form of neuromodulation, referred to as Nerve Stimulation Technology, to positively stimulate various central nervous pathways using a sophisticated and proprietary electrical pulse generator. This electrical stimulation positively activates key central nervous system pathways with the precise amount of electrical current that enhances and regulates neural signals to provide a desired clinical outcome. At its core, NMT’s technology stimulates in one location (e.g., the wrist), and elicits a therapeutic effect in another remote location (e.g. the brain and stomach).
